St
Martins Lane
From
its dazzling location at the hub of Covent Garden, West End theatres
and Trafalgar Square, St Martins Lane is a dramatic and daring reinvention
of the urban resort. Smart, witty and sophisticated, Philippe Starck’s
design is a brilliant collision of influences - from the modern to the
baroque - that suffuses the hotel with energy, vitality and magic.
Unique features include the
acclaimed Asia de Cuba restaurant, wildly popular Light Bar, and interactive
light displays in every Guest Room that encourage guests to personalize
their own individual space, and help to turn the hotel into a beautiful
and ever changing mosaic of color.
Rooms and Suites
Framing sweeping views of
central London, St Martins Lane's 204 rooms, private garden rooms and
suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, an eclectic mix of Philippe Starck
designed furniture and a one-of-a-kind interactive light installation,
allowing guests to “light their mood” from a full spectrum
of vibrant colors controlled from a dial next to the headboard. Special
Garden Rooms have private patios lushly planted with camellia trees,
clematis and climbing ivy.
Penthouse and Apartment
St Martins Lane boasts both a luxury Penthouse and Apartment suite that
are spacious and sumptuously appointed, featuring open loft-like layouts,
custom Starck-designed furniture, separate pantries, large plasma screen
televisions, and stunning views of London. In addition, one-of-a-kind
interactive light installations allow guests to alter the room's ambiance
to suit their mood by choosing from a full spectrum of vivid colors
on a dial next to the headboard.
Meetings
and Events
St Martins Lane features
an Executive Boardroom with 24-hour multilingual secretarial staff available
upon request, additional multi-use meeting spaces, and state-of-the-art
audio-visual equipment. Plasma monitors for audio-visual playback, smart
boards, electronic flip charts, portable computers, mobile phones and
fax machines are also available upon request.
The Back Room, available
for private functions, is a beautifully tranquil space lined in seamless
white marble and featuring a zen-like wall of bubbling water. Its simple,
streamlined elegance provides the perfect backdrop for a wide variety
of private uses. Also available for special functions are the hotel's
acclaimed Asia de Cuba restaurant, Light Bar, Penthouse and Apartment.
Light
Bar
The Light Bar is a unique
and breathtaking space that takes the concept of atmospheric lighting
to new heights. Guests gather to sip the now famous cocktails, such
as Passion Fruit Martini, Tropical or Vanillan Cairpirinha, Strawberry
Cheesecake and Pink Lychee Champagne, snack on Asia de Cuba delights,
chat and people watch in a series of cozy niches that are bathed in
warmly vibrant shafts of colored light - pink, orange, violet, and green.
The walls are hung with enormous
black & white close-up photographs of people making funny expressions,
taken by renowned photographer Jean Baptiste Mondino, which lend the
Light Bar its bold yet distinctly light-hearted touch. On Thursday,
Friday and Saturday nights, some of London's hottest D.J.'s are featured.
